Conflict Minerals PolicyFor minerals such as 3TG (tantalum Ta, tin Sn, tungsten W, gold Au) from conflict or high-risk areas, as well as metal minerals controlled by non-governmental armed forces or illegal military factions through smuggling trade channels, all belong to conflict minerals. Xinhao Optoelectronics requires suppliers to comply with the Responsible Business Alliance Code of Conduct (RBA) and only purchase materials from suppliers responsible for the environment and society. Suppliers are prohibited from purchasing minerals from the Democratic Republic of Congo and its neighboring countries, and must purchase from the Responsible Mineral Assurance Process (RMAP) certified smelters and refineries list confirmed by the Responsible Mineral Initiative (RMI). All suppliers should purchase metals from smelters and refineries that have passed RMAP certification and meet the conflict free metal requirements. Smelters and refineries that have not passed RMAP certification or do not meet customer requirements must be removed from the supply chain and committed to conducting due diligence in accordance with the requirements of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). |
